Penglipuran Village has been selected as one of the UN Tourism "Best Tourism Village 2023".

Penglipuran Village was established in the 14th century, during the Bangli Kingdom. This refers to the research that shows that Penglipuran Traditional Village existed since the time of the Bangli Kingdom around 700 years ago.
